Privacy Policy

This is a starting-point POPIA policy. Have it reviewed before launch — update the responsible party details and retention figures for your actual business.

What we collect

To generate your will, we collect information you provide directly: your name, ID number, address, marital status, and details about your executor, guardians, trustees, and beneficiaries. This is sensitive personal information and is processed only for the purpose of generating your document.

Why we collect it

We process this information strictly to generate the will document(s) you request, process your payment, and provide you with support if you contact us. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing without your separate consent.

How long we keep it

Because this information is highly sensitive, we minimise how long we retain it:

• If you never complete payment, your submitted answers are deleted after 7 days.
• If you complete payment and download your document, your submitted answers are deleted 14 days after your last download, once you've had a chance to re-download if needed.
• We keep a minimal payment/order record (not the will content itself) for accounting purposes as required by law.

Your rights under POPIA

You may ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing kflegacy@kumlehn-frank.life. Deleting your data before you have downloaded and safely stored your signed will may mean you lose access to the online copy.

Security

Your submission is stored in a database that is not directly accessible from the web, and your document is only accessible via a private, unguessable link tied to your order.
